The NSPCC’s Childline service provides a safe, confidential place for children and young people with no one else to turn to, whatever their worry, whenever they need help.
Children can contact Childline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It costs just £4 to answer a young person’s call for help to Childline and on average, a child contacts Childline every 25 seconds.
It’s vital that children and young people feel able to turn to somebody to talk about any issue they’re facing, no matter how big or small. Whatever problems or dangers they face, Childline gives them somewhere to turn to for support when they need it.
Children and young people can talk to Childline online, on the phone or via email. There are also a multitude of resources available on the Calm Zone.
Lloyd Butcher, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager for the NSPCC, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Baker Ross for their continued support of Childline. Last year, Childline provided over 220,000 counselling sessions to children and young people across the UK. Thanks to the money gifted to us by Baker Ross, we can ensure that our Childline service can continue to help children who contact our counsellors about a wide range of concerns, including mental and emotional health; family relationships; sexual abuse and bullying. Donations and support like this really make a difference to young peoples’ lives.”
