How to Make
Step 1
Round 1: Using coloured wool, make a MR and work in 10dc, join this ring with a ss.
Step 2
Round 2: Ch1, then 2dc into each stitch from the previous round. (20) Join with a ss.
Step 3
Round 3: For the first arm, chain 9. Work back down the chain as follows: 1dc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1htr in the next, tr in the next 3 stitches, then trtr in each remaining stitch. Skip 2 stitches on Round 2 and ss into the next to attach the arm. Repeat this sequence 4 more times, then join the round with a ss.
Step 4
Round 4: To create a boarder, join with a ss in a contrasting colour wool and dc into each stitch around the starfish.
Step 5
Round 5: Before finishing the border round create a hanger by making a ch25 then ss back into the same stitch. To finish, ss, snip the wool and weave in the ends!
