Owl Lantern

How to Make

1. For this lantern you will need two large paper plates
2. Cut out the centre of one and a quarter off the top and the other.
3. With the plate that you are cutting the centre out of make sure that you cut high enough for the eyes. use the template to trace around the shape you will need.
4. Paint the front Bronze.
5. Stick tracing paper on to the reverse of this plate
6. Using the template cut out the owl mask from foam and stick this to the front of the plate, draw two big eyes in the space.
7. Add an orange beak cut from another plate.
8. Stick the two plates together leaving the opening at the top of the back plate.
9. Cut out wings and stick on
10. Add a hanging ribbon.
11. Add lights and enjoy.

Top Tip

You can tie the lantern to a stick or bamboo cane if you want it to be held higher.
