Top Tip
Stick the features on the ridges of the concertina circle. Hot glue can also be used as a more secure alternative.
How to Make

- Place an A4 piece of yellow card landscape and begin to draw vertical lines 3cm apart from each other.
- Concertina fold along your vertical lines. When you get to the end, fold in half and stick the edges together using double sided tape to create fan shapes. Repeat steps 1 and 2 so that you have 2 fan shapes.
- Using double-sided tape stick both concertina fans together to create a concertina circle.
- Using the template draw around and cut out both sides of the eggshell from white card, and the beak, and wings from orange card.
- Stick both sides of the eggshell onto the concertina circle leaving space in between for the eyes and beak.
- Stick the beak on the centre of the concertina circle and 2 wiggle eyes above. Make sure the wiggle eyes are stuck onto two ridges of the concertina folds.
- Stick an orange feather onto each wing.
- Pinch the bottom of each wing together so that it can be stuck around one of the concertina folds at the back of the chick. Using both double-sided tape and sticky tape will make the wings more secure. Alternatively, you can use hot glue.
- Cut a length of ribbon onto each wing approximately 30cm.
- Create a loop in the ribbon and stick to the back of the chick. Using both double-sided tape and sticky tape will make the loop more secure.
