Concertina Bunny Decoration

How to Make

1. Place an A4 piece of white card landscape and begin to draw vertical lines 3cm apart from each other.
2. Concertina fold along your vertical lines. When you get to the end, fold in half and stick the edges together using double sided tape to create fan shapes.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 so that you have 2 fan shapes.
4. Using double-sided tape stick both concertina fans together to create a concertina circle.
5. Using the templates provided, draw, and cut around the bunny ears and teeth from white card, the inner ears and nose from pink paper and the bunny’s smile from black paper.
6. Stick the inner ears to the bunny ears.
7. Stick the left bottom of the ear to the middle and then the right bottom of the ear to the middle to create a 3D effect. Repeat this for the second ear.
8. Stick the ears to the back of the concertina circle using both double-sided tape and sticky tape.
9. Cut out 6 thin strips of brown paper for the whiskers, approximately 8cm in length. For one side of whiskers stick 3 together making sure they are slightly fanned out. Then stick both sets of whiskers to the centre of the concertina circle.
10. For the teeth draw a black line around the edge and a line through the middle.
11. Stick the teeth behind the mouth.
12. Begin forming the bunny’s face by sticking the mouth and teeth slightly below the whiskers.
13. Then stick the nose in the centre of the face. Stick 2 wiggle eyes above the nose, making sure the wiggle eyes are stuck onto two ridges of the concertina folds.
14. Cut a length of ribbon approximately 30cm.
15. Create a loop in the ribbon and stick to the back of the bunny. Using both double-sided tape and sticky tape will make the loop more secure, alternatively use hot glue.

Top Tip

Stick the features to the ridges of the concertina circle. Hot glue can also be used as a more secure alternative.
