How to Make
- Using the template draw and cut out the wings, hair, feet, and beak from orange card.
- Using the template draw and cut around the oval shape from cardboard and yellow card.
- Stick the yellow card onto the cardboard.
- Cut small slits around the edge of the shape for the wool to slot in.
- Stick one end of the yellow wool to the back of the cardboard shape and then begin wrapping the wool around the shape into the slots. When you come to the end of the wool stick or tie to the back of the shape.
- Begin by sticking the wiggle eyes, beak, and feet to the front of the shape.
- Then stick the hair and wings to the back of the shape to complete the chick.
- You can create a loop from wool and stick it to the back of the chick using sticky tape to create a wall hanging.
Top Tip
When sticking on the chicks’ features apply the glue dot to the cardboard instead of the string to make the features more secure. Alternatively, you can use a hot glue gun and hot glue.
