Bagpipes

Top Tip

To give more of a bagpipe appearance, flatten the corners of the paper bag to give rounded corners instead of pointed corners.

How to Make

Step 1

Bagpipes

Begin by drawing a tartan design onto a red paper bag using deco pens and a ruler.

Step 2

Bagpipes

Create five tubes from black card using double-sided tape. Once all the tubes are made, snip off the ends to vary their lengths.

Step 3

Bagpipes

Make small 1cm slits around the bottom of four of the tubes, then fold the tabs inwards, leaving the last one blank. Add detail to the tubes by wrapping them with silver tape.

Step 4

Bagpipes

Stuff the inside of the paper bag with newspaper or tissue paper. Stick the undecorated tube inside the paper bag.

Step 5

Bagpipes

Seal the bag opening around the tube by folding and sticking the corners. Punch two holes in the tube. Glue the four decorated tubes on top of the bag, then tie a length of wool around them.
