How to Make

  1. Roll out some red Fimo to approx. 2mm thickness and cut out two heart shapes. Roll out some white Fimo to the same thickness and cut out a pair of wings.
  2. Place one heart on a baking tray and lay the wings across the middle. Place the second heart over the wings, gently smoothing it down to meet the first heart at the edges.
  3. Cut a wavy banner shape from more white clay and lay this over the top of the design. Using a cocktail stick, carefully pierce a small hole at the top of the heart (you may need an adult to help you). Bake for 30 minutes at a very low temperature of 110°C/230°F.
  4. When the clay has cooled, add detail and shading using yellow acrylic paint and a black permanent marker. Write 'Daddy' across the banner with a black marker pen then paint the heart with a coat of clear varnish. Add split metal rings to finish.

Some tattoo designs are great for making keyrings: try copying bluebirds, roses or even skulls!
