How to Make

  1. Print out the alphabet templates onto white card and cut out.
  2. Paint the keepsake book with a basecoat white and let it dry.
  3. Once the Paint is dry draw a rectangle onto the centre of the book. Make this roughly 10cm tall x 6 cm wide.
  4. Leaving this rectangle white paint the rest of the book a colour of your choice (I have chosen a pastel green) and leave to dry.
  5. Outline the edges of the rectangle and of the book in black pen.
  6. Stick the hook side of the Hook and Loop dots on to the white rectangle. Try to evenly space them in 2 columns of 3 dots.
  7. Choose 6 identical buttons and stick the loop side of the dots on to each one.
  8. Store the buttons and the alphabet cards inside the Keepsake book when you are not using it.
  9. Use the front of the book to make each letter of the Braille alphabet. Follow the pattern on the alphabet cards placing a button where the black dots are and leaving the others blank.
