How to Make

  1. Choose 26 stones from the pack. Try to select stones that have a flattish surface to make it easier for children to write on.
  2. Start by writing one letter of the alphabet on each stone, using different coloured pens. Ask children to lay them out in order as you go.
  3. When you have a full alphabet, start edging each letter piece with a different coloured pen to make it stand out from the rest and easy to see. You can also do a row of uppercase alphabet and lowercase alphabet.
  4. Create some extra vowels so there are more options for the game. Edge these with pen as before then mix them all up in a heap. You’re not ready to play.

Top Tip

Use deco pens to write on the stones, as they are easy to control or if the stones are much smaller, use thin-tipped nibs like our Fab Fibre Tip Pens.
