How to Make

  1. Cut a large wing shape from a sheet of polystyrene (see template). Use permanent markers to colour and decorate it on both sides.
  2. Ask an adult to cut a polystyrene egg in half and cut a slot in the top of the egg with a kitchen knife. Glue a small triangle of polystyrene sheet into the slit and leave to dry.
  3. Use permanent pens to colour another oval and a larger triangle of polystyrene sheet. Glue the oval to the top of the wing shape and fix the triangle behind it.
  4. Colour in the slotted oval and triangle and glue to the underside of the wing shape. When the glue is completely dry, your space glider is ready to fly – out of this world!

Top Tip

Putting triangular rudders on both sides of the glider will give it stability and a smooth flight. Because of this you can fly your glider either way up.
