How to Make
- Cut out an 8×8 inch square of white felt as a board base.
- Then cut four then 8 inch red strips of felt to form a 3×3 grid and glue to white board base as shown.
- Using the lip and kiss template, trace round on the felt and cut out five pairs of pink lips and black kisses. Also cut out five thin pieces of black felt to add detail to the pink lips, glue these in place on the lips.
- Voilà! You are now ready to play. You need to get 3 lips or kisses in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally to win. This game concept can easily be customised to other themes such as football by substituting the lips with felt footballs, or for a seaside feel with orange felt starfish. The options are endless, and can help children learn colour recognition and shapes. Being made of felt means the game can be rolled up and easily transported.
Top Tip
Draw lip and kiss shapes beforehand on a piece of card to use as a template.
