How to Make

  1. Take a sheet of blue A4 card. This will be your main background. Snip a curved sand dune shape from yellow corrugated card and another from orange - together they need to fit within and cover the base of the blue panel.
  2. Cut out the three kings, using different sheets of patterned corrugated paper. Cut out two small houses too, using the picture as a guide. Arrange the kings on the yellow sand dune and the houses on the orange one, as shown.
  3. Cut out a star shape and tail from gold and silver glitter card. Glue them together, with the tail on the left. When the star is dry, fix a lolly stick vertically to the back with some tape.
  4. Draw a light horizontal pencil line on the picture where you want your shooting star to go and carefully cut a slit along the line. Slide the lolly stick with the star downwards into place so you can move it back and forth. Stick several different sized yellow stars across the sky.

Top Tip

Add gold and silver pipe cleaners to your shooting star instead of glittery card.
