  1. Print out the Union Jack template onto white copier card, then colour it in using felt tipped pens.
  2. Cut the template out and wrap it around the cardboard tube, using double sided tape to stick it in place. Make sure there is at least 1cm of card overhanging each end. If there isn't, just trim your cardboard tube down slightly.
  3. On one end of the tube, cut a few slits in the overhanging card and fold them inwards. Next, cut out a circle from a sheet of white card and stick it to the folded card to cover the end of the tube.
  4. Turn the tube over and add some bells into it.
  5. Cover the top end of the tube. Once you have finished, just tilt the tube up and down to make noise.
