  1. Print out the template and cut out two wings out of tissue paper
  2. Next, cut the body out of card and decorate with a face.
  3. Place everything to one side for the time being.
  4. Take a sheet of A3 card and fold it in half like a book.
  5. Take the wing template and faintly draw the outline onto one half with the centre touching the folded line.
  6. Dab paint onto one half of the paper within the wing guide you just drew.
  7. Fold in half and squash the card together.
  8. When you open the page, it will look symmetrical like butterfly wings.
  9. Allow to dry.
  10. Once dry, stick your tissue paper wings into just the centre of the picture so that they are free to flap.
  11. To finish, stick your butterfly body in the middle of the wings and draw antenna.
  12. To make your wings flap, rub the blown up balloon on your hair and then rub it on the wings.
  13. Lift the balloon away from your picture and see how the wings stick to the balloon as if by magic.
