Top Tip
Stretch out the fan as far as it will go to give a flatter surface to paint onto.
How to Make
Step 1
Using a pencil, draw a series of section lines across the fan as shown approximately 2cms deep covering the paper part of the fan.
Step 2
To create a colourful blended effect, use watercolour paint to paint each layer of colour starting with red at the top of the fan. Follow with orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Leave to dry.
Step 3
Finally, paint the bottom wooden part of the fan white. Leave to dry.
