Top Tip
Don't feel that you have to stick with the colour schemes or designs we've chosen - you can create as many pet pendants as you like and experiment with different characters, pens and shades for a totally unique look.
How to Make
- Using the template provided, choose either the cat or dog shape and place beneath the panel of shrink plastic, ensuring the rough side of the plastic is facing upwards. Trace the shape carefully using black pen - don't worry if you make a mistake, you can use a wipe to clean off the pen marks and start again.
- Colour the pendant using the picture as a guide, ensuring you have got a nice even coating of colour. Cut out carefully using scissors or a craft knife and mat. Punch a hole in the top centre of the pendant, as shown.
- Heat in an oven or using a heat tool, following the manufacturer's instructions. Once the pendant has fully shrunk, leave to cool before removing from the oven. If the pendant hasn't shrunk properly and has curled up on one side, for example, instead of laying flat, you can put it back in the oven where it will soften and flatten out.
- Take the coloured cord and measure out to the desired length. Cut and thread the ends through the punched hole in the top of the pendant, as shown. Repeat for the second pendant.
