Top Tip
For a beautiful, even gradient effect, use a sponge to dab the paint onto the jar. This technique blends the colours smoothly and creates a soft, seamless transition!
How to Make
Step 1
Begin by using the template to draw and cut out the shapes.
Step 2
Use sticky tac to temporarily stick the heart to the centre of the jar.
Step 3
Next, use a sponge dabber to apply paint to the jar. Create a gradient by placing a darker pink at the bottom and fading up to a light pink/white. You may need to do a couple of coats.
Step 4
When the paint is dry, tie jute twine around the top of the jar.
Step 5
Create a hole in the top of the gift tag using a hole punch, then use wooden letters to spell out ‘Mum’ on the gift tag. You can paint the letters white to make them stand out. Thread the gift tag onto the jute twine.
Step 6
To finish-, place the photo in the jar and fill it with faux or dried flowers.
