You can paint some wooden people to create characters for the doll’s house.
How to Make
Step 1
Room: Firstly, print out the brick wall and flooring onto paper. Cut and stick the brick pattern on the outside wall and stick the flooring to the wooden base of the dolls house. Try to match the pattern as best as possible. Paint one wall light purple by mixing white and purple acrylic paint together.</li> Then stick floral printed paper on one of the walls, you will need to use 2 sheets to cover the entire wall, make sure to match the pattern for a seamless finish. Assemble the walls and flooring together. For the skirting cut jumbo wood craft sticks to size and paint them white.</li> When they are dry stick them to the bottom of the walls.
Step 2
Bed: Print and cut out the mattress from A4 white card and the pillows and duvet from felt. Paint the bedframe using acrylic paint. For the mattress, fold and stick the flaps together. Put the mattress onto the bedframe and then stick the duvet on top.
Step 3
Cushions: Stick two sides together. You can leave a gap and fill them with stuffing to make the cushions 3D. Remember to close the cushion after filling with stuffing.
Step 4
Bookcase: Paint the bookcase with light purple acrylic paint. You can decorate it further by adding floral paper to the back panel. For the books, print and cut out the books from A4 white card. Colour the books with fibre tip pens. Then fold and stick the flaps together to create a 3D shape. For the picture, draw a family portrait using fibre tip pens. To make the picture stand, fold the small rectangle in half and stick one half to the back. For the plant, print and cut out the template from A4 card. Then, colour in the plant with fibre tip pens.
Step 5
Framed Picture: Draw a picture using fibre tip pen onto the card. Then cut slimline wood craft sticks to size to create a frame to place the picture. Paint the frame gold. When the frame is dry, stick it to the picture.
Step 6
Curtains: Using the template, print and cut out the shapes of the curtains from pink paper. For the drapes, concertina fold both rectangles. Tie wool or string in the centre of each drape to cinch inwards. Assemble the curtains by sticking the drapes to either side of the craft stick. then stick the valance on top.
