Top Tip
You can use a peg to hold the edges of the cardboard tube closed while the glue dries.
How to Make
Step 1

First, gently fold in the corners at one end of the cardboard tube to create a rounded shape.
Step 2

Secure the folded edge of the cardboard tube with glue or tape to hold its shape.
Step 3

Scrunch up some paper and stuff it inside the cardboard tube to give your bumble bee a sturdy, 3D body. Then, secure the other end of the tube by sticking it together.
Step 4

Paint the tube with bold black and yellow stripes using multi-purpose deco acrylic paint to give your bumble bee its signature look. Let it dry before moving on to the next step.
Step 5

Cut a black pipe cleaner into shorter lengths; two small pieces for the antennas and six for the legs. To add detail, gently roll the ends of each pipe cleaner to create a fun, curly effect for the antennas and legs.
Step 6

Draw and cut out the bumble bee’s wings from silver glitter card to give them a sparkly, magical touch. Finally, glue on the wiggle eyes, legs, antennas and wings using super tacky glue to bring your bumble bee to life!
