Top Tip

To make your coral reef extra vibrant, layer different colours of tissue paper for added texture and depth, and experiment with cutting the paper into various shapes to mimic the look of real coral!

How to Make

Step 1

Cardboard 3D Aquarium

Rip some sheets of blue card in a wavy line, then stick them together to create the effect of water. Then place this into the back of an empty cardboard box. Add blue card to either side of the box too.

Step 2

Step 3

Create a crab out of an old egg box using red paint, pipe cleaners and red card. Finish the crab by adding a smile and some wiggle eyes.

Step 4

Create an octopus out of some cardboard, using purple and white deco brush pens to add the colour. Glue some blue ribbon to the top for it to hang from.

Step 5

Make a jellyfish by sticking some cellophane to a small piece of card, and cutting strips to look like the tentacles. You can also use other materials, such as foam and polymer clay to create more sea animals, like turtles and fish.

Step 6

Use glue dots to stick your hanging animals to the top of the cardboard box, and place the crab onto the sand, along with some pipe cleaner seaweed and shells.
