How to Make
- Use the template to cut a boomerang shape from self-adhesive blue foam. Remove the backing paper and fix to a piece of yellow foam. Cut around the edge to make a double-sided boomerang.
- Take some green self-adhesive foam and cut into 3 or 4 5mm wide strips. Place these across the width of the boomerang leaving a big space in the middle. Add the same number of red strips and some narrower ones of yellow foam.
- Draw a zig-zag pattern onto the back of a strip of white self-adhesive foam and cut it out. Stick zig-zags between the straight lines.
- Use a pearlised pen to draw a lizard design in the space on the curve of the boomerang. Use a cocktail stick to paint really thin lines to mark out the toes of the lizard. Add coloured dots to the rest of the boomerang and leave to dry.

Top Tip
The earliest Australian Aboriginal boomerangs are about 10,000 years old.
