How to Make

  1. Start by decorating and numbering the envelopes 1-24 using glitter pens, gem strips, stickers and other embellishments.
  2. Once you’ve decorated the envelopes, it’s time to get even more creative with the little notes inside. Decide whether you’d like to send your little ones on a treasure hunt each day that has a chocolatey treat at the end of it. Or, suggest a festive activity such as baking Christmas biscuits or crafting decorations.
  3. Decorate the front of each card, then write a clue or activity inside and pop each inside an envelope.
  4. Display the envelopes in a decorated container or bucket, hang them along the mantelpiece with pegs and a length of ribbon, pin them on a cork board or keep them hidden, bringing out each one on the day it’s due to be opened.

Top Tip

To teach your children the true meaning of Christmas, decorate the cards with Nativity scene stickers and an Advent Bible verse inside
