Top Tip

You can add felt grass or dried moss around the bottom of the toadstool lantern to give a woodland feel.

How to Make

Step 1

Toadstool Lantern

Using the template, draw and cut out the shapes from red felt.

Step 2

Toadstool Lantern

Cover the plastic mason jar with white tissue paper squares and layer with PVA glue.

Step 3

Toadstool Lantern

Join the edges of the slit to form a wide cone shape.

Step 4

Toadstool Lantern

Take some white felt circles and attach them to the red cone. Trim a small section off the top of the cone. Then, cut a piece of red ribbon, tie a knot at one end, and thread it through the hole in the top of the cone (the toadstool top). Make sure to secure the ribbon inside the cone. Finally, stick the toadstool top onto the lid.

Step 5
