How to Make
- Trim a strip of red felt to 5cm x 18cm and trim a piece of the hessian to 4cm x 17cm an pin centrally on top of the red felt.
- With an embroidery needle and white embroidery thread work a line of running stitches down both the long side of the hessian to secure the hessian to the felt.
- Overlap the short ends by 2cm to create a ring and work a line of running stitch to secure the napkin ring into place.
- Trim the green adhesive felt to create two holly leaves and remove the backing and secure to the top of the motif. Remove the backing form the adhesive button and secure to create the berry detail to finish.
Top Tip
The open weave of the hessian makes a perfect grid for stitching, use the squares to keep the stitches even.
