Top Tip
If the crinkle pattern has too many white areas when you unfold the T-shirt, carefully drop some more dye over the fabric (both sides) while it’s still damp.
How to Make
- Cover your work surface with the polythene sheet from the kit then lay the T-shirt flat on top. Pinch the T-shirt between your fingers to lift and crumple the fabric then push the folds towards the middle into tight crinkled bunch.
- Wear gloves from the kit to protect your hands. Squeeze dye over the T-shirt then press it with your fingers. Add a second dye colour or leave it with one colour if you prefer. Carefully turn the T-shirt over, keeping as many crinkles in the fabric as possible then apply dye to the other side. Leave the T-shirt to dry for 6-8 hour then open out the T-shirt.
- Rinse the T-shirt in water then leave it to dry out again. Cover the T-shirt with a thin cloth then press with a warm iron.
