There’s no better time of year to teach children about the history and culture of Wales than St David’s Day

Whether you live in Wales, or just want to teach children about the rich heritage of this wonderful country, you’ll find Welsh craft for kids to help you.
Welsh culture is full of wonderful symbols: the iconic Welsh dragon, as well as the national flower, the daffodil, and of course the Welsh leek, and you can use of all these in the creative work you do with children around St David’s Day. Have fun making colourful Welsh Dragon decorations, and use this opportunity to teach children about the Welsh flag. Once they have completed their St David’s Day crafts projects, perhaps you might like to hold a small Eisteddfod, a traditional Welsh concert too? With a little creativity and a lot of enthusiasm, the children will soon be having a ‘Wales’ of a time!
