Prior to the event, why not get the kids to make some christmas cards and sell them in packs at the Fayre. Visit our Kids Craft Fair for lots more ideas.

Homemade Cake Stall
A must at all fundraising events! This popular money-spinning stall is a firm favourite with all ages, with the added bonus of no financial outlay and pure profit for the fundraising organisation concerned.

Get supporters (and children) to 'make and donate a homemade cake'. To help ensure variety on the cake stall, draw up a cake list adding the name of the baker alongside, this will help prevent having too many of one type of cake. Don't forget to include fairy cakes and biscuits for the little ones to buy. Remember... the more the merrier as any surplus cakes can always be cut up and sold with a cup of tea on the Tea Stall. Speciality Tea Stall
As well as the usual tea and coffee options, why not add more interest to your Tea Stall by offering speciality teas such as Earl Grey, Green Tea, herbal teas etc. As more people are opting to drink speciality teas you could cash in on this trend at your event by offering them at an extra cost.

Did you know...
The Christmas market or fair tradition is authentically German and Austrian and dates back to medieval times, where the markets first began. The first market recorded was held in Vienna in 1234. They retain many traditions of the original markets today, and feature stalls selling food, drink and gifts. Markets usually feature a nativity scene and many markets will have a local child dressed as the "Christ child" on the opening night of the market. The tradition has spread around the world and there are many large Christmas markets in the UK, notably in Leeds, Birmingham and Lincoln. Many schools and organisations now hold their own smaller Christmas markets or fairs as fundraising events.
