Creative Halloween Party Ideas

  There’s no better occasion than a Halloween party to get your creative hat on, whether you’re planning a gathering for your little ones at home, running an event at a youth club or even treating some grown up friends to a spooky shindig, we have some great ideas to give your celebrations the scare factor!
   
  Everyone knows that a promising party starts with a promising invitation, so for snappy yet snazzy designs, simply print out or write the details of your event on plain paper then decorate with Halloween Stickers. Even the littlest of hands will be able to help out.
  
  
   
  Turning the party venue into a haunted house is easy with creative skills. Cut out spider web shapes from white crepe paper and drape them over every surface. String Halloween paper chains from the ceiling and decorate 3D Honeycomb Halloween shapes to hang up too. Make ghostly tealight holders by drawing faces onto recycled glass jars with deco pens, the glow of the candles will add an extra eerie touch to the features! Another great idea is to use peel off paint to create creepy spider’s webs which, when dry, make great window decorations. Apply the paint straight from the tube to acetate to create the shape then use a paint brush to neaten up the edges. Make sure your paint layer is very thick for the best results, then once it’s completely dry (this may take up to a day and a half) carefully peel off and stick to the window. It will peel off easily without leaving any marks. And don’t forget a Halloween wreath to let everyone know that the party starts here!
  
  
   
  Once the guests arrive, it’s a great idea to provide them with some fun activities. One of our favourites is the mystery box game. Cut a flap at the back of an old cardboard box and snip a slot at the top large enough to place a hand into. Then simply add different plates of items through the flap. Tell partygoers that each one contains something gruesome and ask them to guess what it really is by feeling through the slot. Use things like pickled onions and say they’re eyeballs, cold custard for slime and biscuit crumbs for earth!
   
  Another great craft activity idea is with believe it or not, toilet rolls! Save the cardboard middles then give your guests an assortment of crafty goodies to decorate them with. We’ve used Deco Pens and ribbon on these two but you could add sequins, gems or even pom poms!
  
  
   
  And of course, don’t forget the food.  Serve your guests hardboiled eggs decorate with edible pen to create eyeballs, use hot dogs wrapped in white bread with ketchup to make severed fingers and make a pot of witches’ brew by mixing sherbet and popping candy with fruit juice. You can add food colouring to make it look even more gruesome.
   
  When the party is over, why not send everyone home with a Halloween trinket to remember how frightfully fun the evening was? We think Glow in the Dark Creepy Crawlies or Spider Windmill kits would be ideal.
